Author's note

Turkish from 1991 Digital Type Foundry is a free signage-inspired dingbat font built from stark, solid forms. Its symbols combine broad strokes with abrupt cuts and pointed joins. The irregular silhouettes feel closer to hand-cut signs than polished icons.

Market illustrations can repeat its blunt angles across posters, food packaging, and travel graphics, letting the symbols become part of the pictured streetscape. Guidebook covers gain a distinctly sign-made editorial accent.
