Author's note

TWriterTwo by Thomas Canale of Canale Studio, Inc. is a free distorted typewriter-style display font with a deliberately unstable build. Its letters collide, split, and shift between thin slab-serif forms and dense black shapes, with stray outlines and partial duplicates interrupting the text. The result feels mechanically damaged and restless.

That collision of office-machine lettering and visual noise suits experimental magazine covers and abrasive music posters for different reasons. In publishing, the broken impressions can suggest corrupted documents or misregistered print. For record packaging and underground event graphics, the irregular letter mass can become the central mark of a rough, confrontational brand identity.
