Author's note

Type2 by Andreas Johansson is a free animal silhouette dingbat font that turns familiar forms into dense, creature-built shapes. Rounded bodies, pointed snouts, wings, legs, and tails overlap in rough, uneven contours, so each symbol reads as both a mark and a small animal scene.

Children's publishing is its strongest setting, especially for activity books and story covers with a wildlife theme. The same compact silhouettes can enliven zoo event posters, educational games, and playful merchandise. Because the animals form the symbols themselves, they can become an illustrated habitat or creature-counting concept.
