Typewriter Condensed Bold by Volker Busse is a free handwritten sans serif with tall, narrow letters and a plainly drawn finish. The strokes have softly rounded ends, slight changes in width, and small irregularities that keep the forms informal. Open shapes prevent the upright construction from looking cramped.
Children's book covers are its strongest setting because the lettering feels direct and approachable. It also suits classroom posters, toy packaging, and family event graphics. The rounded ends echo marker illustrations and help words join the picture.
