Author's note

Typewriter PG by P A Grosse is a free monospaced typewriter serif with broad slab serifs and the firm, mechanical build of struck metal letters. Its strokes stay fairly even, but the rounded forms soften the otherwise square construction. Generous proportions and blunt endings give the lettering a practical mid-century office character.

Editorial projects are its strongest setting, particularly magazine features and book covers built around archives, correspondence, or reportage. It also fits small-run posters and formal stationery. The fixed-width structure recalls typed manuscripts and records, making the font especially convincing for historical subjects, literary themes, and stories about journalism.
