Author's note

Typewriter by Roger White is a free typewriter-style serif with broad, softly bracketed letters and the uneven edges of ink pressed onto paper. Thick downstrokes, fine hairlines, and blunt serifs give the lettering a familiar mechanical stamp with mild wear.

Its classic office-machine character fits mystery publishing, archival posters, and period film graphics. On coffee packaging or stationery, the worn contours can suggest labels, forms, and correspondence produced by hand. The font is most convincing when a project draws on detective fiction, newsroom culture, or the tactile world of carbon copies and typed records.
