Typical Guy Style, designed by Carlos Perez, is a free handwritten display font with tall, wiry letters and an unruly marker-drawn edge. Abrupt changes in stroke width, hooked curves, and uneven joins make the writing look quick and slightly jagged rather than carefully penned.
Its most natural audience is independent music, streetwear, and youth entertainment, where rough lettering feels at home. It can give gig posters and album artwork the immediacy of a hand-scrawled note, and its angular forms also suit T-shirt graphics. Skate graphics and underground event flyers are especially convincing settings for its restless DIY attitude.
