Author's note

UKIJ Esliye Tom, by the Uyghur Computer Science Association, is a free serif font with a sturdy, old-style newspaper feel. The letters are broad and dark, with squared serifs, tight joins, and a slightly compact rhythm that gives the font a firm, grounded voice rather than a delicate literary one.

It fits naturally in editorial mastheads, book covers, cultural posters, title cards, and short packaging names where that dense serif texture can do the work. As a free font, it also makes sense for flyer headlines or pull quotes that need a traditional tone without feeling fussy or ornamental.
