Author's note

UKIJ Merdane Bold by the Uyghur Computer Science Association is a free serif display font with a formal, newspaper-era feel. The letters combine tall, upright shapes with crisp contrast and blunt serifs, while details like the curled J and sharply cut K keep it from feeling stiff.

It fits editorial mastheads, book covers, cultural posters, title cards, and monograms where a steady, dignified voice matters more than ornament. As a free font, it also makes sense for short headlines, institutional branding, or opening initials, because the caps carry a measured rhythm that feels composed and deliberate.
