Author's note

UKIJ Nasq, by the Uyghur Computer Science Association, is a free classical serif font with an inscriptional, calligraphic air. The letters mix crisp high contrast with broad, old-style curves and tapered serifs, giving the font a formal rhythm that feels closer to engraved titles than everyday text.

It sits naturally in book covers, cultural posters, museum graphics, editorial mastheads, and title cards where a few words need ceremony rather than noise. As a free font, it also makes sense for monograms and drop caps, since those sweeping joins and sharply cut endings give short settings a dignified, almost carved presence.
