Umber SSi Font

Umber SSi from Southern Software is a free Celtic display serif with the poised, calligraphic shape of manuscript lettering. Broad curves and pronounced thick-thin strokes meet sharp, leaflike tips, most notably in the tall capitals and rising letter forms.

It can create a period-inflected identity for heritage branding, festival posters, and fantasy game graphics, where the sculpted silhouettes carry much of the theme. In publishing, it is particularly suited to book covers and chapter openings connected with folklore, legend, or historical fiction.
