Author's note

Umber SSK, by Southern Software, is a free Celtic gothic font with a medieval manuscript flavor. The letters mix broad, rounded forms with sharp wedge-like cuts and curling joins, so the font feels old-world and ceremonial rather than severe.

It fits naturally in pub branding, folk festival posters, fantasy book covers, heritage packaging, and album titles where a little legend and craft help carry the message. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, chapter openers, and monogram-style initials, because those hooked curves and tapered points give even a few letters the weight of an inscription.
