Author's note

Underwood Champion by Vic Fieger is a free old-school eroded typewriter display font with the wobble and wear of a well-used ribbon. The letters feel battered rather than distressed for effect, with uneven edges, soft ink-like gaps, and a plain mechanical rhythm that keeps the vintage office mood front and center.

It fits naturally in pulp-inspired posters, zine covers, book jackets, title cards, and packaging that wants a worn editorial stamp instead of slick nostalgia. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines and pull quotes, where those rough typewriter shapes bring just enough grit and period character without needing extra ornament.
