Author's note

Varieté by Peter Wiegel is a free Art Deco display font built from broad geometric strokes and emphatic angles. Its capitals have a poster-like silhouette, with pointed forms, dramatic diagonals, and sharply cut interior spaces. The construction is crisp and theatrical.

It is strongest on posters for cabaret nights, stage productions, or vintage-themed events, where the striking forms can function almost like custom lettering. The same Art Deco geometry also suits cocktail packaging and entertainment graphics inspired by jazz clubs, grand cinemas, and the sleek ornament of early modernist design.
