Author's note

Varsity by James L. DeVries is a free outlined athletic display font built from tall, squared capitals. Sharp corners, clipped diagonals, and open inline channels recall lettering on team jerseys and stadium graphics. The narrow forms create a compact, forceful silhouette.

Its doubled contours echo the borders of sports badges and uniform numbers, making the lettering easy to integrate with mascots or shield illustrations. It suits team merchandise, event posters, game graphics, and school branding with a competitive theme. Across these uses, the recurring stripe-like gaps connect the type to stitched patches, painted court markings, and other sporting details.
