Author's note
Velocity by Alan Brown is a free geometric sans serif with massive strokes, circular forms, and sharply cut openings. Its close-set letters build a dense silhouette, but the strong diagonals keep the design from feeling static.
Sports branding and nightclub posters are very different settings, yet both suit the font's forceful construction and sense of forward motion. It can also give record sleeves, game graphics, and streetwear designs a compact, hard-edged signature. The rounded shapes and slicing angles point most clearly toward racing, electronic music, and other fast-paced contemporary subjects.
