Author's note

Verba, created by arseniiv of FontStruct, is a free pixel font built from evenly sized square modules. Its regular grid gives the rounded lowercase forms a light, perforated texture, and the generous gaps recall the uneven glow of early dot-matrix displays.

Game interfaces and electronic music posters draw on the same modular, screen-based look, though one frames interaction and the other sets a synthetic club atmosphere. Tech packaging can turn the dotted contours into product graphics. In editorial design, the broken grid is especially apt for independent magazine sections about coding, retro computer hardware, contemporary digital culture, or experimental typography.
