Author's note

VillaDidot by Sascha Timplan of Stereotypes is a free decorative serif font with stately Didone proportions. Fine hairlines meet broad vertical strokes, giving the capitals a crisp, theatrical silhouette. Dense horizontal hatching fills the heavier parts of each letter and recalls engraved shading.

Fashion labels and boutique hotels could use it for logos, packaging, or signage with an ornate, upscale character. The striped interiors also suit editorial covers, where the lettering can echo etched illustrations, architectural details, or linear patterns.
