Vtks Mercearia by Douglas Vitkauskas is a free eroded display font built from heavy, irregular letters and sweeping flourishes. Scraped patches and rough edges give the forms a worn, scuffed surface, while curls weave through the lettering with a hand-drawn looseness.
Its mix of grunge lettering and ornamental scrollwork suits rock posters and alternative music merchandise. It can also lend fashion packaging or event graphics a rough, custom-marked look rather than a clean commercial finish. The curling strokes make the type feel closely tied to tattoo art and illustrated emblems.
