Vtks Noise by Douglas Vitkauskas is a free distressed brush font with tall, loosely drawn letters and a restless handmade edge. Its broken, speckled strokes resemble dry paint dragged across rough paper.
Poster design is its clearest medium, especially for music events, skate graphics, and underground film promotions that benefit from lettering with highly visible abrasion. The irregular outlines can also give small-run apparel prints and album artwork the look of a quickly painted sign rather than polished digital type. Its scratchy surface and uneven movement suit punk, garage rock, horror, and other genres built around gritty, raw, improvised imagery.
