Author's note

WaaibergSM by Luc Devroye is a free calligraphic display font built from delicate, wandering strokes, open letters, and tightly wound curls, with a loose, pen-drawn quality. The line stays light even as the loops grow elaborate.

The repeated spirals resemble sketched vines and curled ribbon, a direct link to botanical packaging, wedding invitations, and storybook covers with decorative line drawings. For fashion branding and music posters, the slender lettering can become part of an illustrated border or emblem rather than acting as ordinary type, with circular motifs continuing through the surrounding artwork.
