Author's note

Wallau Deutsch Bold, designed by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung, is a free psychedelic display font with a dense, theatrical silhouette. Its broad strokes bend into hooked curves and sharp inward cuts, giving the letters a hand-drawn irregularity. Narrow inner gaps make the construction feel especially dense.

Music posters are its strongest setting. The warped forms echo concert art, but they also fit album graphics, festival merchandise, and fantasy game titles. Across these uses, repeated hook-like details turn the wording into part of the illustration itself.
