Author's note

Wallau Zier Bold by Rudolf Koch of Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free decorative blackletter font with broad, sharply cut forms and a distinctly medieval bearing. Its dense strokes break into narrow openings, hooked peaks, and blade-like diagonals.

Medieval and fantasy subjects are the clearest match for historical game graphics, festival posters, and book covers shaped by its carved-emblem force. The same angular silhouette can lend a severe, old-world stamp to brewery packaging and metal merchandise, where the letters become part of the ornament rather than neutral text.
