Author's note

Wars of Asgard by Daniel Zadorozny of Iconian Fonts is a free medieval display font with broad calligraphic forms and sharply cut details. Its changing stroke widths, flared ends, and hooked points recall hand-drawn fantasy lettering rather than formal blackletter. The irregular outlines make the capitals look carved and slightly unruly.

Fantasy game studios could use it for branding and merchandise. Medieval-themed attractions can extend the same theatrical edge to event posters and drink packaging because the blade-like notches and sweeping curves let a name become part of a crest or illustrated tavern sign.
