Author's note

Wartorn by Andreas Johansson is a free eroded military display font with the blunt force of stamped field lettering. The caps look heavy, battered, and uneven, with torn edges and rough breaks that make each letter feel scraped, worn, and pulled from old equipment rather than neatly drawn.

That rough texture suits poster headlines, game title cards, war-themed packaging, zines, and album covers where the letters need grit more than polish. As a free font, it also works well for short cover lines or monograms, because the distressed silhouette stays present even when you use only a few large letters.
