Werbedeutsch Heavy, designed by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung, is a free heavy blackletter font with a rough, hand-cut silhouette. Broad strokes, blunt corners, and irregular curves give the letters the look of carved wooden signage. Small inner openings sharpen the dense forms.
Poster lettering is its clearest role, especially for folk festivals, tavern events, or theatrical productions with a medieval setting. It also suits beer packaging and music merchandise, linked by the same coarse, old-world shapes and unmistakable blackletter weight.
