WHAT SOUND POUNDS? by Mike Adkins of The Fontry is a free Western slab serif display font with blocky forms and a hand-cut edge. Its broad caps combine blunt slabs, uneven contours, and abrupt changes in stroke width, recalling rough wood type rather than a polished revival.
The frontier-poster reference makes it convincing for concert posters and bar signage, where the irregular letters supply a rowdy period accent. It also fits barbecue packaging and Western-themed event graphics with rustic illustration.
