Wieynk Fraktur, designed by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung, is a free blackletter font with broad, tightly folded and strongly modulated strokes and a distinctly medieval profile. Diamond points and sweeping curves form an animated outline.
Historical posters are its strongest setting, since the dense calligraphic forms evoke hand-cut titles and old European print. The same pointed details suit fantasy game graphics, themed event invitations, and merchandise built around heraldry or folklore.
