Author's note

Wilderness from Centric Studios is a free distorted display font with a storybook-gothic mood. The letters mix tall serif shapes with ragged flicks, hooked tips, and drooping curves, so the whole design feels windblown and slightly feral rather than neatly historical.

It fits poster titles, dark fairytale packaging, indie music graphics, seasonal event branding, and book covers where a little menace helps the mood. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, title cards, and monograms, because those wiry edges and uneven silhouettes do most of their work in brief, dramatic bursts.
