Author's note

WirWenzlaw Rough, credited to Pia Frauss, is a free calligraphic display font with an ornate, manuscript-like hand. Broad looping capitals dominate the silhouette, followed by compact lowercase letters with pointed joins, swelling strokes, and slightly uneven contours.

Its strongest setting is historical or fantasy publishing, where the elaborate initials can shape chapter openings and cover titles. It also suits ceremonial invitations and theatrical posters, since the recurring loops and quill-like turns echo illuminated lettering and can become part of the period ornament rather than simple text.
