Author's note

WM Leaves 1 by Willymac is a free botanical dingbat font made from varied hand-drawn leaves, each treated as a separate botanical illustration. The set moves from spotted, saw-edged foliage to softly shaded clusters, a solid maple silhouette, and delicate vein drawings. Rough contours and uneven hatching recall pages from an older printed field guide, with a lively, homemade finish.

It turns logos and package labels into compact botanical emblems. For botanical publishing, garden event posters, and seasonal stationery, the leaves can mingle with plant sketches, seed packets, or herb photography as decorative specimens, borders, and badges rather than behaving like ordinary text.
