Author's note

Wobbly is a free distorted display font with a loose comic wobble and a chunky offset shadow that makes the letters feel cut from paper and nudged out of line. The uneven outlines and tilting forms give it a playful, slightly unruly rhythm, while the bold shadow shapes keep the wordmark look punchy rather than delicate.

It fits poster headlines, zine covers, party flyers, kids' event graphics, and packaging that wants a handmade jolt, and this free font also works nicely for short title cards or logo sketches where the lopsided shadow can do some of the talking. Keep it brief - the character is in the bounce, not in long setting.

Description

Contemporary sans serif design, Arial contains more humanist characteristics than many of its predecessors and as such is more in tune with the mood of the last decades of the twentieth century. The overall treatment of curves is softer and fuller than in most industrial style sans serif faces. Terminal strokes are cut on the diagonal which helps to give the face a less mechanical appearance. Arial is an extremely versatile family of typefaces which can be used with equal success for text setting in reports, presentations, magazines etc, and for display use in newspapers, advertising and promotions.
