Wolnough Capitals by PJL is a free Gothic initials font with a medieval manuscript mood. The letters mix carved, ribbon-like strokes with rough, hand-worked texture, and the opening initial pushes that story further with an illuminated block full of curling vines and dotted ornament.
It fits projects that need a historical accent rather than a neutral voice - book covers, chapter openers, certificates, folk-event posters, and title cards all make sense for this free font. Use it where a few letters can do the work, especially drop caps and monograms, because the ornament and weathered edges give even short settings a distinctly old-world character.
