Wolves Engraven is S. John Ross's free distressed display font, with the caps cut to look scratched, eroded, and half clawed out of the surface. The letters feel jagged and restless, mixing thin strokes with chunky breaks so the whole font reads like a rough engraving dragged through stone or bark.
That makes it a natural fit for horror posters, metal flyers, game title cards, zine covers, and dark event branding, where a free font with this much abrasion can carry the mood on its own. Use it for short headlines, monograms, or drop caps when you want the torn edges and slashed diagonals to do the talking.
