Author's note

Worlds at War Italic, designed by Nate Piekos, is a free heavy comic display font with a steep forward slant and a forceful, compact silhouette. Its blunt curves and sharp diagonal cuts pack the letters tightly.

Blocky silhouettes echo speed lines, impact bursts, and hard-edged character art, making the font a convincing fit for comic covers and game graphics. The compressed, aggressive shapes also suit sports posters and merchandise built around momentum or confrontation. On entertainment packaging, the lettering can become part of the illustration, resembling a solid stamped insignia or a title knocked into metal.
