Xenophone by Vic Fieger of Xaviera Comics is a free eroded display font from 2004 with a rough, ink-eaten voice. The letters feel hand-brushed and worn at the edges, with blunt, rounded forms and peppered gaps that make the whole font look scraped, stamped, and slightly weather-beaten rather than neatly distressed.
It fits poster work, zine covers, indie comics, band flyers, title cards, and short merch graphics where a free font needs grit without turning into full horror lettering. Because the shapes stay broad and simple under the erosion, Xenophone works best in short words, cover lines, and compact logos that want a raw printed feel.
