XFiles by Jenny Barck is a free sci-fi movie display font with the lean, eerie attitude of 1990s screen titles. The letters are tall and spare, mixing rigid vertical strokes with rounded corners and narrow openings so the whole font feels sleek, coded, and a little uncanny.
It works well anywhere you want that cinematic mystery to do the talking: posters, streaming-style title cards, zine covers, event flyers, and short branding lines. As a free font, it is especially useful for logos, cover lines, and brief headlines where those compressed shapes and the distinct split between angular and rounded forms can carry the mood fast.
