Author's note

Xiphos Leftalic by Iconian Fonts is a free medieval Gothic font with tall, wavering letters that feel cut from old banners and manuscript headings. The forms lean into sharp, blade-like points and swollen curves, giving the font a restless rhythm that feels more ceremonial than strictly formal.

It works well for fantasy book covers, metal and folk posters, game title cards, event flyers, and themed branding where a free font needs a clear historical mood without looking tidy or academic. Use it in short headlines, logo words, or initials, where those hooked strokes and tapering ends have room to carry the drama.
