Author's note

Xirwena, by Pia Frauss, is a free calligraphic handwritten font with a storybook, slightly medieval air. The letters flow in dark, inky strokes with looping entrances, soft hooks, and a gently uneven rhythm that feels drawn by hand rather than tidied into strict script.

It suits fantasy covers, boutique branding, cafe menus, invitation headings, and short editorial title lines where the free font can lean on its sweeping capitals and knotted joins for mood. Use it when a word or two needs to feel old-world and personal, especially for logo sketches, chapter openers, or packaging names that benefit from that curling, pen-led movement.
