Author's note

Z-Most Zimple by Hindmost is a free line-art figure dingbat font built from eccentric human forms. Its wiry strokes, angular bodies, splayed limbs, and mask-like faces recall quick Surrealist sketches, with each symbol behaving like a tiny drawing.

As illustrated emblems, these figures can give experimental theater posters and dance programs a cast of strange, animated performers. Their loose, handmade drawing suits album packaging and arts magazine covers concerned with movement, performance, or absurdist humor. The repeated combination of gesturing limbs and simplified faces lets the symbols function as characters within a visual story, not merely as ornaments.
