Author's note

Zaibatsu by Andreas Johansson is a free Japanese-inspired caps display font with a heavy, totem-like presence. The letters feel soft and carved at once, with bulbous ends, deep rounded cut-ins, and squat proportions that make the whole design read like a set of bold symbols rather than ordinary capitals.

It fits poster work, game titles, club flyers, manga-influenced branding, and short packaging headlines where a few letters need to carry the mood fast. As a free font, Zaibatsu works best in brief settings like cover lines, title cards, and monograms, because the dense shapes and recurring horned curves give even very short words a strong emblematic look.
