Zillah, Erico Lebedenco's free modern Gothic font, turns blackletter into something leaner and more urban. The letters mix tall, blocky verticals with sharp sliced joins and a few rounded openings, so the texture feels both medieval and pared back, with a rhythm that reads more like signage than ornament.
That makes it a natural fit for music posters, streetwear branding, book covers, title cards, and short editorial headers where a free font needs a tougher historical edge without going full antique. It also works well for monograms and logo-style wordmarks, because those narrow uprights and cut-in angles give even a brief name a strict, almost architectural silhouette.
