Author's note

Zoë the Zebra, drawn by Raymond Brekelmans, is a free scratchy display font built from repeated hand-drawn lines. Its tall uppercase forms are loosely geometric, with uneven overlaps and stray strokes that give the lettering the look of a hurried marker sketch.

Urban and handmade themes suit it to music posters and streetwear graphics. The same raw linear texture can turn event merchandise and youth publishing into part of an illustrated sketchbook concept, linking each use through visible drawing marks rather than smooth type.
