Author's note
Acidic font by Surface Design Group is a free eroded display typeface that looks like it’s been splashed with chemicals and left to bubble away. Chunky black forms are eaten through by clusters of crisp, circular holes, creating a fizzy, corrosive texture that feels both playful and hazardous. The letters stay bold and legible, but the surface looks distressed and unstable, as if it’s constantly dissolving on the page.
Using Acidic, this free font instantly injects toxic energy into horror posters, club flyers, grunge album covers, experimental branding, game titles, and bold social graphics. It works best at large sizes where every pitted edge and scattered “splash” can be seen. Pair it with a clean, neutral sans-serif for body text so Acidic can handle the loud, chaotic headlines without overwhelming the rest of the layout.
