Author's note

AdvoCut font by Marc "mieps" Misman is a free pixel bitmap typeface with a razor-cut, modular feel. Each letter is carved from sharp black squares, giving text the grit of early consoles and demoscene intros but with a deliberate, almost architectural rhythm. The tight spacing and tall verticals create a compact, digital texture that reads clearly even at tiny sizes, while still feeling experimental and a bit glitchy at larger scales.

Using AdvoCut, this free font shines on retro game interfaces, score counters, techy posters, chiptune album covers, streaming overlays, and bold UI labels. Its strict grid gives menus and HUDs a consistent, low-res voice that instantly signals “old-school machine.” For a balanced layout, pair AdvoCut with a clean geometric sans for body copy and let this pixelated typeface handle titles and key numbers at 2–3× the size.
