Author's note

African Eggs font by Lime is a free decorative dingbat typeface that turns every keystroke into a richly patterned egg. Each oval is packed with bold, black-and-white motifs—tribal stripes, geometric bands, playful faces, animals, and zigzags—so your layouts feel hand-stamped and festive without any drawing required. The shapes are dense and inky, giving you a strong graphic punch that still reads cleanly at small sizes.

Using African Eggs, you can quickly build Easter cards, craft printables, packaging accents, party posters, stickers, and social graphics with a cohesive visual theme. This free font shines when the eggs are set large as icons or borders, then supported by a simple sans-serif for text. Try repeating a single egg as a pattern, or mix several for a vibrant, folk-inspired spread.
