Author's note

Afv1 font by Perry Mason is a free military dingbats typeface that turns your keyboard into a line-up of armored vehicles and hardware. Each glyph is a bold, flat silhouette-tanks, troop carriers, helicopters-rendered in chunky black shapes that read clearly even at small sizes. The forms feel utilitarian and heavy, like stamped steel, giving your layouts an instant sense of strategy-map grit and tactical precision.

Using Afv1, you can quickly build icon systems for strategy game interfaces, tabletop rulebooks, military infographics, war museum posters, history blogs, and model kit packaging. The consistent proportions keep icons legible in tight HUDs or dense charts, while the solid fills hold up on print and screen. This free font pairs well with a clean geometric sans-serif; set the text small and let the Afv1 symbols carry the visual weight.
