Author's note

Akoom font by Veredgf is a free distorted serif font that looks like it’s been eroded by time and static. Tall, elegant letterforms are cracked, scratched, and speckled with gritty noise, giving every word a haunted, worn-out texture. The result feels both literary and unsettling, as if a classic book title has been dragged through a storm and left to dry.

Using Akoom, you can give horror book covers, eerie movie posters, occult zines, dark album art, mystery game titles, and experimental flyers a tense, cinematic mood with almost no extra effects. This free font works best at large sizes where its grainy details can breathe; pair Akoom with a clean, understated sans serif for body text to keep layouts readable and dramatic.
