Author's note

Backup Generation font by Tommy Cary is a free futuristic sans with thick, rounded shapes and sharp cut-in gaps that make it feel mechanical without going cold. The heavy build and wide, blocky rhythm give headlines a locked-together, industrial pulse that suits album covers, game titles, posters, tech branding, stickers, and stream graphics.

Backup Generation works best when you want impact fast but still need the words to stay legible at a glance. This free font has a tough, molded look that fits sci-fi flyers, YouTube thumbnails, event banners, merchandise, and logo concepts, especially when paired with a plain neutral sans for supporting text.
