Author's note
Baklava font is a free handwritten typeface with a dramatic, calligraphed swagger. Its tall, slightly twisted strokes and inky wedges of black give every word a hand-painted, storybook feel—somewhere between medieval script and a lively shop sign. Letters lean and flare with just enough irregularity to feel human, but the rhythm stays steady so titles remain readable and bold.
Using Baklava, this free font shines on fantasy book covers, café branding, artisanal packaging, event posters, theatrical flyers, and characterful logo marks. It works beautifully when you set it large and give it room to breathe, then pair it with a clean sans serif for body text so its textured, angular personality can really stand out.
